Pharmacist Assistant – FAQs
You need a Grade 12/Matric certificate and a Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification. Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is also required.
Responsibilities include assisting with the sale and preparation of medicines, inventory management, compliance with legal requirements, and providing customer service.
Experience with Unisolv, MS Office, SAP, and E-Scripting is advantageous but not mandatory
Important skills include strong communication abilities, technical proficiency, attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork
A strong command of English and a second language is essential. Knowledge of a third additional language is advantageous.
You need to be physically fit, able to stand for long periods, and willing to work retail hours. A valid driver’s license and clear credit and criminal records are also necessary.
