Clover Artisan Learnership Program Overview

The 4-year Artisan: Apprentice program at Clover is meticulously structured to provide a balanced mix of classroom learning and hands-on training. Participants will undergo comprehensive training, covering various aspects of millwright work, including maintenance theory, dairy technology, productivity, and economy subjects. The program also includes practical training and a Millwright Trade Test at a designated training center.

Requirements for Applicants Clover Artisan Learnership

To be eligible for the Artisan: Apprentice program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

– Educational Qualifications: Grade 12 with a minimum of 60% in Physical Science and Mathematics (not math’s literacy) or an NQF Level 4 in Electrical and Mechanical subjects.

– Practical Experience: Previous experience in a production or maintenance department is advantageous but not mandatory.

– Core Competencies: Proactive and action-oriented, high standards, effective communication, problem-solving skills, ability to collaborate, commitment, and motivation.

Roles and Responsibilities 

Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will:

– Complete practical and theoretical requirements.

– Study and understand relevant learning outcomes and fields.

– Attend courses at formal learning institutions.

– Gain practical experience in a manufacturing plant.

– Complete induction and maintenance theory, dairy technology, productivity, and economy subjects.

– Undergo practical training and a Millwright Trade Test.
