Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Security: Uphold the highest standards of security and safety for all inmates, staff, and visitors. This involves conducting patrols, managing entry and exit points, and responding to security incidents.
- Supervise and Manage Inmates: Oversee daily routines and activities of inmates, ensuring compliance with all institutional rules and regulations.
- Contribute to Rehabilitation: Work as part of a team to support and encourage offender participation in rehabilitation and skills development programs.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to act swiftly and decisively in emergency situations, including medical incidents and altercations.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete and maintain accurate records, reports, and administrative documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification is required.
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Age: Be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Fitness: Pass a comprehensive physical fitness assessment.
- Character: A strong character, high level of integrity, and no criminal record.
- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
