About the IDC Internship Programme 2025–2027
The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Internship Programme 2025 / 2026. This 24-month fixed-term internship, based at the IDC Mpumalanga Regional Office, offers structured, supervised, and practical workplace experience in the field of finance and business development.
The IDC is a state-owned national development finance institution that promotes industrial growth, job creation, and economic development across South Africa. Through this internship, the IDC aims to equip graduates with hands-on skills, mentorship, and exposure to real-world business environments.
Programme Objectives
The IDC Internship Programme seeks to:
- Build a pipeline of skilled professionals for key business areas.
- Offer unemployed graduates practical, on-the-job learning experiences.
- Bridge the gap between academic theory and workplace application.
- Provide mentorship and career development within a national financial institution.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens under the age of 35.
- Hold a qualification in one of the following fields:
- BCom Accounting or
- BCom Financial Management (Management Accounting specialisation).
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Not be enrolled in studies or participating in another internship or learnership.
- Be willing to undergo background checks and competency assessments.
