Cerebos invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for its Analytical Chemistry Internships Programme 2025. This 12-month opportunity, based at IDZ Coega in the Eastern Cape, aims to provide graduates with practical laboratory experience and professional exposure in the chemical manufacturing sector.
Two internship positions are available, focusing on chemical analysis, solution preparation, equipment calibration, and adherence to strict safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will be expected to:
- Conduct accurate laboratory tests and chemical analyses.
- Prepare and standardise chemical solutions.
- Calibrate and verify laboratory equipment daily.
- Record, report, and interpret test results according to SOPs.
- Perform product inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Manage waste disposal according to SHEQ procedures.
- Monitor laboratory stock and maintain housekeeping.
- Participate in scheduled training and team meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
- National Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry.
- Knowledge of laboratory practices and analytical procedures.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
