About the Role: Home Affairs Inspectorate – Immigration Services X100

The Inspectorate – Immigration Services is seeking dedicated individuals to join the Inspectorate Division under Immigration Services. We are offering 100 positions in each province, giving you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions help to uphold the integrity of South Africa’s borders and immigration laws.

As an Inspectorate Officer, you will play a crucial role in enforcing immigration policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring that people comply with the country’s immigration regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
  • Investigating reports related to illegal immigration activities.
  • Assisting in deportation procedures and executing legal directives.
  • Collaborating with other governmental bodies to maintain border security.
  • Reporting on immigration trends and submitting recommendations to superiors.
  • Ensuring adherence to protocols during immigration enforcement operations.

Minimum Requirements: Home Affairs Inspectorate – Immigration Services

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Grade 10, Grade 12, or an ABET (Adult Basic Education and Training) qualification.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of South African immigration laws (training provided).
  • Willingness to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to conduct inspections in different environments.
  • Preparedness for fieldwork, which may include travel and irregular hours.
