Key Responsibilities for FlySafair First Officer:

• Ensure the safety and efficiency of each flight.
• Execute all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks.
• Monitor aircraft systems and maintain optimal flight performance.
• Navigate flights and support communication with passengers and operational teams.
• Uphold SACAA regulations and FlySafair operational procedures.
• Maintain exceptional standards of customer service and crew cooperation.
• Take command of the flight in the event of Captain incapacitation.

Pre-Flight Duties:

1. Review flight route, weather forecasts, and runway conditions.
2. Complete necessary documentation and coordinate with the Captain on flight planning.
3. Ensure all pre-flight inspections and systems checks are thoroughly performed.

In-Flight Duties:

• Conduct and verify all checklists, monitor instruments and flight conditions.
• Communicate via R/T as needed.
• Advise the Captain of any deviations, hazards, or abnormalities.

FlySafair First Officer Post-Flight Duties:

• Complete post-flight checklists.
• Submit flight documentation and safety reports (e.g., IQSMS).

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• SACAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) required.
• SACAA ATPL preferred.
• Valid Class 1 SACAA Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 1500 flight hours, including 500 hours on Multi-Turbine aircraft.
• Multi-crew experience essential.
• Type rating on Boeing aircraft is advantageous.
• Experience on jets over 20 tons is a plus.
• Knowledge of SACAA, ICAO regulations, and Doc 8186.
• Clean criminal and medical record.
• RSA Driver’s License and own transport.
• Valid RSA Passport.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and undergo psychometric, drug, and alcohol testing.
