The City of Johannesburg is offering exciting career opportunities for unemployed individuals to join the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). We are inviting applications for short-term contract employment not exceeding 12 months, located in various regions (A, B, C, D, E, F, and G) of the City.

- General Worker
- Data Capturer
- Queue Marshal
Salary: R3 500 per month (stipend)
Location: Various health facilities across Regions A-G

Appointment Requirements Data capturing jobs in Gauteng Government :
- Minimum of Grade 10 or higher.
- Youth (18 years and older) are preferred, but people of all ages can apply.
- Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of the City’s health and social processes.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Familiarity with electronic devices (emailing, internet usage).
Primary Responsibilities:
- General Worker:
- Cleaning waiting areas, consulting rooms, kitchens, and more.
- Sorting soiled linen and maintaining cleanliness in the clinic.
- Ensuring litter-free surroundings and disposing of waste properly.
- Data Capturer:
- Capturing and updating clients’ records.
- Compiling monthly clinic statistics.
- Filing and retrieving client files as required.
- Queue Marshal:
- Welcoming and assisting clinic visitors.
- Managing queues and ensuring smooth patient flow.
- Screening and directing patients to appropriate sections.
Key Competencies:
- Teamwork, honesty, and time management.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of customer service ethics and confidentiality.
