The Department of Roads and Public Works in the Northern Cape is hiring Data Capturers to support the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). These positions are ideal for individuals with strong organizational and data management skills.

Salary: R183 279 per annum (Level 04)

Requirements for Data Capturer Positions – EPWP (Northern Cape):

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Hold a Grade 12 certificate.
  • Be computer literate with advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  • Be willing to work under pressure, including extended hours.
  • A valid Code 08 driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Key Duties:

  • Assess reported data against Compliance Assessment Reports.
  • Verify ownership and accuracy of submitted project data.
  • Calculate Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) .
  • Compile and maintain databases for EPWP-compliant and non-compliant reports.
  • Develop and manage filing systems for public bodies and sectors.
  • Generate beneficiary databases and submit reports to the monitoring and reporting manager.
