Key Responsibilities: Skills Development Officer at Pep!
- Develop, implement, and manage Skills Development programs, including apprenticeships, learnerships, and skills programmes, in accordance with Pep’s Skills Development Plan and national SETA requirements.
- Assist with learner certification and close-out of programs to ensure successful completion.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with SETAs, training providers, and other stakeholders in the Skills Development space.
- Manage budget allocations for Skills Development programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective utilization.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on Skills Development activities.
- Identify training needs and opportunities within Pep and propose relevant Skills Development interventions.
- Provide support and guidance to Pep employees regarding Skills Development opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Skills Development legislation and best practices.
Requirements:
- Relevant diploma or degree in HR (Training and Development) or retail management (Essential).
- At least two years’ experience in HR or retail management, with experience in training and development preferred.
- Experience in Skills Development facilitation (an advantage).
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, and organization skills.
- Leadership and management potential.
- A valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel within South Africa.
- Ability to attend external Skills Development engagements independently.
