Purpose: RAF Field Case Management Careers in Cape Town
This role ensures effective case management within the RAF Field Case Management division by coordinating the rehabilitation and healthcare needs of the injured.
Key Areas of Responsibility in RAF Field Case Management
Strategy and Policy Alignment for RAF Field Case Management
- Input into the improvement and execution of RAF Field Case Management strategy.
- Stay informed on current policy and case management methodologies.
Case Management and Administrative Duties
- Manage claimant cases and coordinate caregiver appointments and training.
- Evaluate effectiveness of care services and ensure alignment with RAF Field Case Management objectives.
- Oversee care plan implementation, compliance, and multidisciplinary input.
Rehabilitation Oversight for Claimants
- Monitor claimant progress and tailor rehab based on needs.
- Conduct home assessments via Senior Officer: Field Case Management.
- Supervise transitions from care facilities to home settings.
- Ensure effective service provider appointments and care plan execution.
Return-to-Work and Community Integration
- Collaborate with treating physicians and employers for return-to-work readiness.
- Facilitate modified duties when full return isn’t possible.
- Educate claimants and families on health conditions and available community resources.
Invoice and Compliance Monitoring
- Validate submitted invoices and guard against fraudulent claims.
- Confirm alignment with RAF Act and ensure timely provider payments.
Reporting and Documentation
- Compile all relevant reports on timelines, expenses, and claimant updates.
- Provide performance insights and back-to-work readiness status.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and service providers.
- Handle stakeholder queries and maintain high service standards.
People and Performance Management
- Recruit and retain high-performing RAF Field Case Management staff.
- Promote team development, conflict resolution, and goal alignment.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s or Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences or related.
- Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in management.
