Role Summary Netcare Clinical Confirmations Clerk :

The Clinical Confirmations Clerk is responsible for daily communication with medical aids, nursing staff, and medical practitioners regarding confirmations of medical aids and payments.

Key Responsibilities Netcare Clinical Confirmations Clerk :

– Apply clinical knowledge in the risk management of patients, including length of stay, level of care, and ICD and CPT coding.

– Handle confidential information.

– Ensure all patients have authorization numbers.

– Capture and convey information obtained from medical aids on the system appropriately.

– Assist with bi-annual stock takes and data capturing.

– Maintain and sustain effective working relationships with all customers and colleagues.

Educational Requirements:

– Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification.

Experience:

– Previous experience in a hospital environment.

Knowledge:

– Advanced computer literacy.

– Knowledge of medical aid scale of benefits.
