City of Ekurhuleni General Worker Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or ABET Level 1 or higher
- Basic reading and writing skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards as per regulations.
- Perform general handy work and routine maintenance within assigned areas.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship in all tasks.
- Service and maintain equipment by tightening, cleaning, and replacing parts as required.
- Plan and organise daily tasks efficiently.
- Clean offices, reception areas, restrooms, kitchens, storerooms, filing rooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Manage and use cleaning materials responsibly, ensuring proper re-issuance.
- Serve refreshments during meetings and prepare venues as needed.
- Uphold Batho Pele principles in all interactions.
- Minimise wastage of financial resources and report risks promptly.
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct with stakeholders at all times.
