About the Role
Clicks Group is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on placing vendor orders, distributing products to stores, and collaborating with planners to maintain optimal inventory levels and availability. If you have a strong understanding of supply chain processes and enjoy working in a dynamic retail environment, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Order inventory based on SKU forecasts to maximize stock availability.
- Distribute DC-to-store allocations to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with planners to resolve inventory exceptions (short/late deliveries, stock shortages).
- Liaise with DCs, vendors, stores, and category teams to manage replenishment queries.
- Provide planners with updates on promotional stock flow to ensure availability.
- Assist planners with ad-hoc inventory-related requests.
- Analyze category performance and generate insights to support planning and decision-making.
- Place new line, promotional, and pipe fill orders to support stock availability for promotions.
Clicks Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Essential: Diploma in Purchasing/Business Management
- Desirable: B.Com degree in Financial/Retail Management
Experience for Supply Chain Assistant :
- Essential: 1-3 years of planning experience in retail or related fields
- Desirable: FMCG experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of planning and buying processes, stock flow, and supply chain operations
- Familiarity with financial planning and assortment management
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
