Requirements:

  • Grade 10 / AET level 5 to Grade 12 certificate
  • Knowledge of Batho Pele principles, Patient rights, and OHS act
  • 6 months experience in a hospital environment
  • Ability to work shifts as per allocation

Duties: Cleaners Position at Health Department

  • Provision of cleaning services (cleaning wards, offices, corridors, and boardrooms, dusting and sweeping, scrubbing and waxing floors, vacuuming and cleaning floors, cleaning walls, windows, and doors, collecting and removing waste papers, cleaning kitchens, and restrooms)
  • Keeping cleaning material safe and reporting broken equipment, cleaning equipment after use
  • Upholding Ideal Hospital Framework and Realization, Batho Pele Principles, Patient’s Rights, and OHS Act
  • Contributing to the management of complaints and Patient Safety Incidents
  • Performing any other duties as delegated
