Key Responsibilities

  • Community Safety: Learn to manage traffic flow and enforce safety regulations to protect motorists and pedestrians.
  • Law Enforcement Support: Assist in maintaining public order and providing peacekeeping services within the municipality.
  • Emergency Response: Develop skills in emergency management and rapid response techniques.
  • Public Interaction: Engage with the community to educate on road safety and civic responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this training program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Must have passed Grade 12.
  • Age: Between 20 and 35 years.
  • Residency: Must reside within the Bergrivier Municipal Area.
  • Identification: Certified copy of South African Identity Document.
  • Clearance: SAPS Clearance Certificate.
  • Additional Preference: Candidates with a valid Learner’s or Driving Licence will receive preferential consideration.
  • Employment Status: Candidates currently employed by the municipality will also be considered.

Candidates must successfully pass all recruitment and course assessments during the training period.
