Foreman Position Overview
As a Foreman at WBHO Construction, you will supervise construction activities on site, manage labour teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure work is completed to quality standards, on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise construction workers and subcontractors
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Plan daily work activities and allocate resources
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with specifications
- Enforce health and safety regulations on site
- Identify and resolve construction issues
- Maintain daily site records and progress reports
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage
- Attend site meetings and communicate with project management
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and building techniques
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Grade 12 certificate; trade qualification or N3/N4 certificate an advantage
- Computer literacy (basic)
- Valid driver’s licence
