Job Description:

Job Purpose:

To deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point-of-sale (POS) operational activities, and in-store merchandising, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Job Objectives:

  • Execute operational activities at the point of sale efficiently.
  • Maintain accuracy in merchandise scanning and collecting payments, including processing clubcard rewards.
  • Safely handle cash transactions.
  • Promote Clicks’ clubcard, enroll new members, and achieve participation targets.
  • Inform customers about promotions to positively impact sales.
  • Provide superior customer service, acting as a brand ambassador and ensuring a friendly and professional service.
  • Execute merchandising and housekeeping duties per store and visual merchandise standards.
  • Focus on personal development, product knowledge, and share information with relief staff for consistent service excellence.
  • Support the company’s vision as the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer, aligning with company values.
  • Stay updated on products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Essential: Grade 12
  • Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
  • Desirable: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification
  • Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment
  • Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:
  • Basic math calculations
  • Retail/FMCG background with understanding of merchandising and promotions principles
  • Understanding of stock management procedures
  • Knowledge of customer service excellence
