PathCare is a trusted partnership of pathologists in private practice throughout South Africa, operating since 1923. All PathCare laboratories are SANAS accredited and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). We are currently offering a position for a Switchboard Operator/Receptionist job at our Reference Laboratory in N1 City, Cape Town.

Job Purpose for Switchboard Operator/Receptionist Job
This role is essential in ensuring efficient telephonic and front-desk service. We’re looking for a team member who aligns with PathCare’s core values, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
Key Requirements for Switchboard Operator/Receptionist Job
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Proficiency in English and understanding of Afrikaans
- Computer literacy (MS Word/Excel)
- At least 6 months of Call Centre/Customer Service or Switchboard/Reception experience
- Medical telephonic experience is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and client-focused approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Innovative, calm, and flexible under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Clean track record with demonstrated competency
