About the Virgin Active Service Ambassador Role
Virgin Active South Africa is seeking a Service Ambassador to deliver exceptional in-club member experiences across all areas, including reception, the exercise floor, studios, swimming facilities, and lounge spaces. This role is vital in building strong member relationships, driving engagement with our in-person and digital fitness offerings, and ensuring every visit is a positive one.

Key Responsibilities
- Front of House Duties: Welcome members and guests, control facility access, and provide information to staff and members.
- Member Engagement: Deliver excellent customer service, promote digital fitness platforms, resolve member queries, and encourage participation in club events.
- Floor Experience: Ensure safety, enforce club rules, promote clean and well-maintained spaces, and guide members in safe exercise practices.
- Retention Support: Build relationships that encourage member loyalty and satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- Completion of Virgin Active Reception Academy.
- At least 12 months’ face-to-face customer service experience.
- Knowledge of Virgin Active exercise experiences, club operations, and safety protocols.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Valid First Aid Level 1 certificate.
- Digital literacy and familiarity with online engagement tools.
