Position Overview

Servest is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Administrator for a 3-month contract position at their Head Office in Waterfall. Reporting directly to the Group Procurement Manager in the Shared Services Business Unit, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in their procurement operations. This is one of several Servest vacancies designed to strengthen their operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and issue purchase orders and RFx documentation
  • Update supplier pricing on Accpac
  • Negotiate with suppliers both locally and internationally
  • Source products and services domestically and globally
  • Coordinate shortlisting of prospective tenderers
  • Prepare and distribute invitations according to company policy
  • Liaise effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments
  • Support procurement activities in compliance with regulatory frameworks

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Matric plus 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Word
  • General accounting knowledge (Acc-pac experience advantageous)
  • Understanding of Accounts Payable processes
  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier management experience
  • Knowledge of SA’s regulatory framework for electronic and mechanical components
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities
  • Attention to detail and deadline-oriented approach
  • Team player with high integrity
