Purpose of the Role

The Group Executive: Risk and Credit will lead Sedfa’s risk management and credit strategy. This includes developing frameworks, monitoring risk exposure, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role supports sustainable credit practices and safeguards the organisation’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and frameworks in line with Sedfa’s goals.
  • Integrate risk and credit strategies into all operations.
  • Lead the Risk and Credit division, building a high-performance culture.
  • Actively contribute to Sedfa’s executive leadership team.
  • Oversee risk and credit monitoring and evaluation.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance and audit practices are applied across all division functions.
  • Manage resources including staff, budgets, and assets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • NQF Level 8 qualification in Finance, Credit Management, Risk Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • A postgraduate qualification at NQF Level 9 or professional certifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) is an advantage.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in Credit and Enterprise Risk Management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage high-performing teams.
  • Experience in developing credit and risk strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Deep knowledge of the credit risk lifecycle and financial analysis.
  • Understanding of audit processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using risk management tools and data analysis software.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the legal field, with at least 5 years in a senior legal and governance role
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and governance standards
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to small enterprises
  • Ability to analyse legal risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Strong grasp of the South African legal system and the King Code on Corporate Governance

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will provide strategic direction and oversight of the Digital Transformation and ICT Division. The role includes leading the development and implementation of the organisation’s digital transformation strategy, managing ICT services, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving innovation to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of ICT services and infrastructure
  • Develop and implement ICT and digital transformation strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals
  • Lead a high-performing ICT and digital innovation team
  • Develop systems and solutions that support the small business ecosystem
  • Ensure ICT policies, standards, and procedures are in line with industry practices and compliance requirements
  • Oversee the implementation of information security and ICT governance frameworks
  • Guide the planning, development, and delivery of software and enterprise architecture
  • Manage digital transformation initiatives, including automation, cloud computing, and the use of AI technologies
  • Improve data ecosystem development and integration

Minimum Qualifications

  • NQF Level 8 qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Business, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A postgraduate qualification at NQF Level 9 in the above fields will be an added advantage

Required Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in ICT, Information Management, or Digital Transformation, with 5 years in a senior management role
  • Experience managing a major ICT operation
  • Understanding of ICT governance frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL
