Job Description:
Ackermans Warehouse is seeking diligent and reliable security personnel to join our team. As a security officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the warehouse premises, employees, and assets.
Responsibilities for Security Personnel Needed – Ackermans Warehouse:
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance to employees and customers in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
- Grade 9-12 or any equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
