Job Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Management
- Maintain and update the Provincial Fixed Asset Register for integration into the national Corporate Register.
- Conduct periodic asset inventory counts and inspections, ensuring physical verification and record accuracy.
- Evaluate capital acquisitions and disposals; assign asset tags and coordinate removal per policy.
Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Perform demand planning and acquisition processes, including sourcing quotations.
- Manage procurement documentation and maintain the supplier database.
- Oversee provincial expenditure and adhere to all financial regulations.
Financial Administration
- Ensure accurate payment processing in collaboration with the National Office.
- Administer petty cash and travel & subsistence (S&T) procedures.
- Monitor contract management and support compliance reporting.
Governance and Compliance
- Implement internal financial policies and procedures.
- Promote good governance, accountability, and sustainable financial practices.
- Resolve supplier and customer queries promptly in line with SALGA’s customer care charter.

Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Asset Management, or Purchasing Management (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of financial statements, basic bookkeeping, and the local government sector.
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in finance or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with precision.
- Adaptable team player with the initiative to manage multidisciplinary responsibilities.
