Role Summary: Receptionist Needed at Netcare

The Receptionist will handle a variety of tasks including answering phones, patient scheduling and registration, charge entries, work queues, payment posting, batch balancing, and cash reconciliation. Your ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Greeting Visitors: Meet and direct visitors to their appointments.
  • Patient Interaction: Attend to patient needs, assisting with forms and hospital admissions.
  • Reception Management: Prepare the reception area for daily operations.
  • Financial Tasks: Collect payments, balance cash registers, and manage financial records.
  • Information Flow: Maintain communication between doctors, patients, and service providers.
  • General Administration: Perform various administrative duties as needed.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and email.
  • Telephone Management Systems: Familiarity with handling and managing multiple phone lines.
  • Hospital Reception Experience: Previous experience in a hospital setting is essential.
