Portfolio Analyst Responsibilities
As aPortfolio Analyst for our Enterprise Banking at Standard Bank, you’ll work closely with our Enterprise Bankers to deliver exceptional service to business clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Banker, Enterprise (Portfolio & Multi-Channel) with day-to-day administration
- Managing portfolio operations efficiently and effectively
- Assisting with sales initiatives and client relationship management
- Handling operational and credit management functions for an allocated portfolio
- Ensuring all compliance requirements within the portfolio are met
- Acting as a key contact point for clients
- Providing sales and service fulfillment aligned to segment targets
- Supporting the achievement of business growth objectives
Qualifications for Portfolio Analyst Position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Banking and Financial Services, or Mathematics/Statistics
- FAIS Certification required
- Grade 12/Matric is the minimum educational requirement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis and portfolio management tools
Experience Requirements
- Experience in Enterprise Banking or Business Banking
- Familiarity with products and services offered to businesses
- Understanding of loans, credit, and treasury services
- Knowledge of challenges faced by enterprises of different sizes
- Previous internships or learnerships in financial services will be considered valuable
- Experience in client relationship management is advantageous
