About the Plettenberg Bay Rotary Club 2026
The Plettenberg Bay Rotary Club invites students residing in the Bitou area to apply for its 2026 programme. The bursary offers partial financial assistance to deserving students who show strong academic potential, leadership, and good conduct, but do not qualify for NSFAS funding. Funding is open to any field of study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following minimum criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Reside within the Bitou area in the Western Cape
- Have completed school in the Bitou area
- Be currently in Matric or have already completed Matric
- Be studying or intending to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Have a strong academic record and a strong will to succeed
- Demonstrate good conduct and serve as a role model for others
- Must NOT qualify for NSFAS funding
Required Supporting Documents
Submit clear, certified copies of the following with your application (incomplete applications will not be considered):
- Certified ID document
- Matric certificate or latest results
- Most recent academic record (if currently studying)
- Proof of residence
