The primary focus of this role is the meticulous management of all Raw Material (RM) inventory within the logistics supply chain, ensuring adherence to product quality standards and compliance with all inventory governance processes and controls. It involves accurately reflecting all physical movements of inventory in SAP, investigating, resolving, and reporting inventory differences.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: PACKAGING INVENTORY CLERK X30
- Adherence to RM Inventory quality fundamentals standards as per VPO requirements.
- Accurate blocking of RM Inventory in SAP with physical blocking mechanisms for quality-related and obsolescence stock in line with VPO standards.
- Compliance with freshness and rotation policy as per VPO standards.
- Accurate recording of inventory counts with quantities per storage location, Best Before Dates (BBD), and clear display of SKU & bin cards as per VPO standards.
- Application and approval of inventory concession policy as per VPO product age standards.
- Re-packing of all RM salvages as per VPO standards.
- Decanting of all obsolescence stock following standard policy and procedure.
- GRN (Goods Received Note) processing for all received stock as per standard policy and procedure.
- Independent inventory counts with reconciliation to SAP inventory, identification, investigation, resolution, and reporting of inventory count differences. Unresolved differences escalated to RM Controller with commentary and action plans.
- Accurate transaction of all physical movements of RM Inventory in SAP. Validation of packaging receipts by line counters, verification of write-offs against signed-off documentation and gate sheets.

Additionally, PACKAGING INVENTORY CLERK X30
- Accurate sign-off and processing in SAP for breakages, obsolescence, and salvage stock.
- Daily review and resolution of all controls, open shipments, and timely processing of claims with signed-off backup documentation and SAB reimbursement.
- Monitoring and reporting of Supply Chain Overheads Budget vs Actual costs with gap analysis and action plans.
- Management and daily planning of workload for the team.
- Daily Documentation Control, ensuring good governance.
- Weekly and monthly stock count compliance.
- Monitoring and control of raw materials and stocks – handling and storage.
- Application of good waste management practices and adherence to Good Housekeeping and 5S principles.
- Risk assessments and issuance of PTW (Permit to Work).
- HR & Administrative duties, liaison with internal and external customers.
- Support team goals and VPO principles.
- Daily Stock Reconciliation and weekly PRP compliance.
- All documentation signed-off by relevant persons, filed, and securely stored as per Inventory Control Policy – including inventory stock packs, shipment packs, gate register, etc.
- Security measures, including cameras in key points on-site and random verification.
- 3-Point independent checks on all shipments for departure and arrival, with random checks for compliance.

Profile:
- National Diploma in Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, or relevant studies.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Stock Control environment.
- Knowledge of Stock Control Processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office & SAP.
- Licensed FLT driver.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Good verbal ability and communication skills.
- Team player with well-developed organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to operate in a pressurized, cross-functional, and demanding environment.
- Good customer ethics and interpersonal skills.
- Self-management ability.
