Brights Hardware in Richmond Park, Western Cape, is currently seeking a dedicated Operational Till Clerk for their Frontline Department Vacancies. This permanent, entry-level position plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless customer service and accurate financial transactions at the store’s point of sale.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet and assist customers, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Team Supervision: Oversee cashier activities, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions and adherence to company policies.
- Cash Management: Administer end-of-day cash-ups, reconcile receipts, and manage discrepancies in collaboration with the Cash-up Officer.
- Audit and Compliance: Conduct daily audit trails, reconcile invoicing, and ensure all financial documentation is accurate and submitted timely.
- Training and Development: Assist in training new cashiers, fostering a knowledgeable and efficient frontline team.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor staff schedules, maintain uniform standards, and ensure the frontline area is well-organized and presentable.
- Stock and Pricing: Participate in stock takes, manage the Price Book, and ensure accurate pricing and inventory records.
Brights Hardware Requirements Vacancies
- Educational Background: Matric certificate or completion of three Intercept courses totaling 120 credits.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cashier.
- Training: Completion of Brights Induction focusing on service excellence.
- Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle pressure and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in internal stock systems.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
