Job Description
Netcare Olivedale Hospital is actively seeking applicants for two NETCARE TVET College Learnerships. The ideal candidates will undergo training in one of the following fields:
- Aircon and Refrigeration – Focus on the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems within the hospital.
- Millwright – Installation, maintenance, and repair of hospital machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Plumbing – Maintenance and troubleshooting of water systems, drainage, and sanitary fittings.
This learnership offers practical, in-depth exposure to industry practices, allowing candidates to develop technical expertise while contributing to the efficient operation of a leading healthcare facility.
Ideal Candidate
To be eligible for the NETCARE TVET College Learnerships, applicants must:
- Have completed N6 theory in Aircon and Refrigeration, Millwright, or Plumbing
- Be seeking their first learnership (previous participants are not eligible)
- Have passed all theoretical modules (incomplete modules will lead to disqualification)
- Demonstrate strong work ethics, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
- Show the ability to work in a hospital environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
Role Responsibility
Learners will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and installation of infrastructure related to their chosen trade. They will work under supervision, gaining hands-on skills in a structured, safe environment. Key duties include:
- Supporting the installation and maintenance of hospital systems
- Following a structured learning plan to ensure competency
- Documenting work processes and providing progress reports
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintenance regulations
