Requirements For Medical Registrar Job Obstetrics and Gynaecology:
- Appropriate qualifications allowing registration with HPCSA as Medical Practitioner.
- HPCSA registration as Medical Practitioner.
- No experience required after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Registrar.
- Advantages: Work experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, CMSA part 1a and 1b examinations, Auxiliary courses relevant to the field.
Duties:
- Interviewing, investigating, diagnosing, and overseeing treatment of patients.
- Participating in all activities of the discipline related to teaching and research.
- Participating in departmental audit activities, report writing, liaison and communication services, community liaison.
- Supervising junior doctors (undergraduate students, interns, and community service doctors).
- Attending relevant administrative meetings, completing MEDICO Legal Documents timely.
- Providing appropriate clinical care, reducing medical litigation through good clinical ethos, ensuring adherence to National Core Standards.
- Record keeping and administration in the department.
- Willingness to do commuted overtime for continuous patient care.
- Responsible for rendering clinical services, assessments, and treatment of patients.
- Rotating through related departments at various hospitals.
