Requirements For Medical Registrar Job Obstetrics and Gynaecology:

• Appropriate qualifications allowing registration with HPCSA as Medical Practitioner.
• HPCSA registration as Medical Practitioner.
• No experience required after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Registrar.
• Advantages: Work experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, CMSA part 1a and 1b examinations, Auxiliary courses relevant to the field.

Duties:

• Interviewing, investigating, diagnosing, and overseeing treatment of patients.
• Participating in all activities of the discipline related to teaching and research.
• Participating in departmental audit activities, report writing, liaison and communication services, community liaison.
• Supervising junior doctors (undergraduate students, interns, and community service doctors).
• Attending relevant administrative meetings, completing MEDICO Legal Documents timely.
• Providing appropriate clinical care, reducing medical litigation through good clinical ethos, ensuring adherence to National Core Standards.
• Record keeping and administration in the department.
• Willingness to do commuted overtime for continuous patient care.
• Responsible for rendering clinical services, assessments, and treatment of patients.
• Rotating through related departments at various hospitals.
