About the Opportunity: GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME 2024-2026
The National Department of Health is offering an internship opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who hold a National Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Microbiology or Biomedical Science. This internship provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the field while contributing to impactful projects within the Chief Directorate: Trauma, Violence, and EMS.

Responsibilities: GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME 2024-2026
- Handling imports and exports of biological materials.
- Conducting inspections of laboratories, including tissue banks.
- Researching international standards for establishing pathological laboratories, tissue banks, and related human tissue banks.
- Verifying registration of Principal Investigators/Medical Specialists with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Microbiology or Biomedical Science.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent planning and organizing abilities.
