Job Description for General Worker Needed (Frazer Alexander):
Frazer Alexander is seeking dedicated General Workers to join our team in Musina. If you are motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a dynamic work environment, this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with your immediate supervisor to achieve operational targets.
- Perform daily inspections in your designated area of responsibility.
- Plan and manage tailings material on-site and at depositing areas.
- Extend and connect pipelines as required.
- Open and close valves in line with operational needs.
- Follow specific work instructions from your immediate supervisor.
- Assist with problem-solving operational challenges and report deviations.
- Perform Mud Guard duties, including monitoring and controlling the levels of the tailings dam to ensure its integrity.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as per safety legislation and company procedures.
- Attend toolbox talks or meetings regularly.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
Experience needed for General Worker Needed (Frazer Alexander) is :
- A minimum of one to five years of experience in a Fraser/tailings environment.
Skills, Qualities, and Abilities Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective planning and organizing abilities.
- Teamwork-oriented and observant.
- Good listening skills.
General Requirements:
- Must pass the mine’s criminal screening process.
- May be expected to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
- Must be physically, mentally, and medically fit.
