Position: General Worker
Job Ref: FA-1357
Location: Lydenburg, South Africa
Industry: Civil/Building – Mining Operations
Job Type: Contract
Positions Available: 1
Closing Date: 10 November 2025
Monthly Stipend: R4,500 – R6,500 (estimated industry range)
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your Supervisor to achieve daily and long-term operational targets.
- Conduct inspections in designated work areas.
- Manage and plan tailings material at depositing areas.
- Extend and connect pipelines as needed.
- Operate valves safely and according to operational procedures.
- Assist in problem-solving and promptly report deviations.
- Perform Mud Guard duties and maintain dam integrity.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and site safety compliance.
- Participate actively in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Minimum Requirements (Fraser Alexander General Worker)
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- At least one year of experience in a mining or construction environment.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good planning and organisational abilities.
- Team player with excellent observation skills.
- Good listener and reliable under supervision.
General Requirements:
- Must pass company/client criminal screening.
- Physically, mentally, and medically fit.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
