Field Survey Assistants Positions Available
Salary Range: R138,960 – R158,220 per annum (excluding benefits such as bonuses, housing subsidy, pension fund, medical aid, and car allowance)
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Geography as passed subjects.
Key Responsibilities: Field Survey Assistants Positions Available
- Prepare and load survey instruments, pegs, and profiles.
- Clean survey instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Place prisms accurately over survey points.
- Hold staves and ranging rods precisely.
- Tape distances accurately on ground level and within trenches up to 4 meters deep.
- Clear vegetation for better visibility during survey activities.
- Install ground and trench pegs and profiles (Profile hammer weighing +20 kg).
- Open survey pegs using shovels and picks.
- Maintain cleanliness of catch pits and manholes during survey work.
- Open manholes and catch pits for depth measurements (depths may reach up to 6 meters, with lids weighing approximately 20 to 30 kg and requiring careful handling).
