Compensation Fund Bursary 2026 Open for Applications
Overview
The Compensation Fund invites unemployed COID beneficiaries with permanent disablement (PWDs), their dependents, and the dependents of fatally injured employees to apply for the 2026 External Bursary Scheme.
This bursary aims to provide financial assistance to eligible applicants studying at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges, Community Education and Training (CET) Colleges, and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across South Africa.
What the Compensation Fund Bursary Covers
The bursary offers comprehensive financial support, including:
- Tuition fees
- Prescribed study materials
- Monthly stipend
- Accommodation
The award is renewable annually, subject to good academic performance and availability of funds.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed and a COID beneficiary with a permanent disablement, or a dependent of a permanently disabled or fatally injured employee.
- Have proof of acceptance or registration at a recognised TVET, CET, or HEI institution.
