The Environmental and Infrastructure Service Department (EISD) within the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) is offering Internship opportunities with a maximum duration of eighteen (18) months.

Remuneration:

  • Qualification completed with a minimum of 360 credits: R9,531.54 per month (Basic Salary, no benefits)
  • Enrolled as a student: R3,500.00 per month (Basic salary, no benefits)
    Location: Traduna House, 118 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/NQF level 4
  • National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Finance
  • Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.

Primary Function: City of Johannesburg
Assist EISD in accurately reporting their assets and ensuring compliance with SCM budget and accounting requirements as per the Municipal Finance Management Act and related Acts, in line with the City’s financial strategies and policies.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintain a computerized asset register using the SAP financial system
  • Control the implementation of specific procedures, systems, and controls related to key functional areas within EISD

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of confidentiality and organizational skills
  • Effective time management, ability to work independently under pressure, and prioritization skills
  • Strong numerical ability
