  • Remuneration: R10,109.86 per month (Basic stipend, no benefits)
  • Location: Metro Centre, 158 Civic Boulevard, Braamfontein, Johannesburg

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen and a resident of the City of Johannesburg.
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Be unemployed and have not participated in any previous internship programme.
  • Have a Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4).
  • Have completed a National Diploma (NQF Level 6, min. 360 credits) in one of the following fields:
    • Public Administration
    • Business Administration
    • Office Administration
    • Business Management
    • Public Management

Key Learning Areas & Responsibilities

As an Intake Officer intern within the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) unit, your key learning areas will include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative and logistical support to ensure the efficiency of the EAP unit.
  • Coordinating administrative requirements associated with the Employee Assistance Programme functionality.
  • Assisting in collating and preparing qualitative and quantitative data for reports.
  • Promoting the efficiency and reach of the Employee Assistance Programme services.

Required Competencies

  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • High level of confidentiality and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
