Supply Chain Management Internships Vacancies at AgriSETA
- Position Title: Intern – Supply Chain Management
- Reference: AgriS05/2024
- Stipend: Monthly (exact figure not specified)
- Location: Pretoria (Arcadia)
- Duration: 24 Months
- Reporting to: Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Management
Key Responsibilities
Interns will gain exposure across various supply chain management functions, including:
Procurement
- Source quotes from Central Supplier Database (CSD) compliant providers
- Draft RFQ comparison schedules and assist with order generation
- Ensure policy compliance and manage service contracts/SLA tracking
- Coordinate purchase order follow-ups and procurement thresholds
Bid Administration
- Support bid committee meetings and provide secretariat duties
- Implement Treasury Instructions and ensure transparency in processes
Logistics & Inventory
- Manage stock levels of stationery and groceries
- Conduct monthly stock counts and assist with issuing supplies
Travel Coordination
- Arrange staff travel through approved agencies
- Resolve after-hours travel issues and respond to related queries
Reporting
- Prepare timely procurement and RFQ registers
- Assist in compiling procurement progress reports
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification: NQF Level 6 in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Experience: No prior experience required
